Home School Legal Defense Association
P.O. Box 159
Paeonian Springs, VA 22129
703-338-5600

Founded in 1983, the Home School Legal Defense Association is an effective and powerful ally for those experiencing difficulties with the state in attempting to take responsibility for their children's education. The following is a quote from their introduction: "Although HSLDA is a Christian organization with a Christian board and staff, we believe it is our duty to advocate the right of all to home school. Membership with the HSLDA is in no way limited by the religious views of prospective members. Since its founding, HSLDA has held the position that its responsibility is to protect the interests of every home schooling member family." Were only the state so open-minded!
